What crashes? The client? Or the server?

Client after typing acct info

Cant tell if it shows error or not as I dont have any previous experience with UO98

Seems like a packet incompatibility issue.

Can you try with a later client first ? 5.x series ?

Ok now tried with 4.0.11c and still the same crash

Update: I've managed to fix the crash thing, but still cannot connect. I am using 3D client because UORice failed to encrypt the 2D one for some reason, here's what I get:




Is the problem in encryption? I am getting stuck at Verifying account...

Yes, Original ML client 4.0.11c (patch 0), unpatched. Not from the CD though.

I've tested with that client (patch 0) and it worked out of the box.

I also used UO Rice 3.5 on the 2D client and I had no problems.
I've attached the decrypted client so you can download it and try with that one.

Thanks but still weird. getting the same ignore packet error I did before. :/
