In this topic I will explain to you how you can extract the DAT file from the Demo Installer without installing UO and without executing the installer.

You need two utilities:
WinRar
and
i5comp (2.1) http://www.cdmediaworld.com/hardware/cdrom/files.shtml
(download I5COMP21.RAR)

Do this:
1) Create a "uotemp" directory in your C: root drive
2) Start WinRar
3) Open the installer exe using WinRar
4) extract data1.cab to "c:\uotemp"
5) Download i5comp and extract the files to "c:\uotemp"
6) Open a Command Prompt
7) type : "CD c:\uotemp"
8) type : "i5comp x data1.cab"
9) uodemo.dat can now be found in "c:\uotemp"
