Gathering Opinions on a project

Hey everyone. just trying to get some feedback on a template im working on... this is not meant to be an advertisment, it is an index page with dummy text, and no links, this is my personal development page; used for staging templates for testing purposes. THAT SAID!

i have been working on a website for some time now, and i have redone it about 3 times, before finally coming down to this; it is not complete; it lacks a few background images.
