First of all, are you talking about modding/patching the existing pre-alpha client (assembler) or talking about a complete recreation of the pre-alpha in a language you are familiar with? If you can answer that question I will share the many thoughts I have on the topic .

Ah my friends, as with most of my projects, I have multiple intended results.
With the Radar however, as there is nothing coded within the alpha client, I was intending on creating a simple always-on-top c++ program that would hook to the client to read (x,y) and display accordingly. After this, I would envision creating a similar project, albiet for the modern client, and for a different purpose: GUMP Icons. Simple enough, as they're obviously already coded into the client. However, the intent would be such that they would be locked in position, saveable, customizable, exportable, etc. Granted, I'm certain that the assembly for the action of right-clicking upon the icons could be acertained and dealt with, but I like practice.
